A Study of Estimating Fetal Weight Using Ultrasound Measurements

Abstract
The effectiveness of three methods(Campbell and Wilkin10, Shepard-Warsof1,2), Hadlock et al 1¢¥) for estimating fetal weight has been evaluated in 111 patients studied with dynamic image ultrasound. There was no statistical difference among three metods while we could find accordance of body weight from 3000gm to 3500gm in weight subclasses between real weight and estimating weight
The. coefficient of regression were 0.77 in Campbell and Wilkin method, 0.92 in Warsof method and 0.89 in Hadlock method. These results indicate that the best estimates of fetal weight are provided by the Warsof procedure.
Secondly, we revised the simplified method of estimating fetal weight by Bruce et al13 and could find these models are easier to use
